Edward J. Gilson, III is a third generation lawyer. He grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and earned his Bachelors Degree, in English, from Temple University. ?From there, he attended Widener University School of Law ? Wilmington, and received his J.D. in May 2009.
While in law school, Ed worked at a personal injury law firm in Wilmington, Delaware. ?Additionally, Ed interned at the Montgomery County Office of the Public Defender, where he was certified by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to represent indigent criminal defendants while still in law school.
Upon graduation from Widener, Ed joined his father?s practice and focused his practice on wills and trusts, criminal defense, and personal injury matters. ?After several years of practice, Ed had the opportunity to join the Philadelphia District Attorney?s Office. ?While at the District Attorney?s Office, Ed represented the Commonwealth in Felony Preliminary Hearings.
A chance encounter with Mr. Flynn in the Fall of 2012, led Mr. Gilson to the Martins Mill Legal Center. ?He officially joined the Firm in October 2012.
He is admitted in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and concentrates his practice on personal injury and criminal defense matters.
